The Sharon Minemoto Quartet brings pianist Sharon Minemoto's memorable compositions to life. Influenced by Chopin, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Wheeler and Herbie Hancock, her writing is diverse in style ranging from introspective to funky to swinging. While most of the program is made up of Minemoto originals, these long-time collaborators, Jon Bentley (saxophones), Adam Thomas (bass), and Bernie Arai (drums)- are equally at home playing on standards.
